Get ready for something different at this year’s Gallery Weekend Berlin! POP-UP is the first ever temporary art space happening during Gallery Weekend combining emerging and established positions with traditional as well as digital art. An exclusive curation by more than 21 renowned national and international artists ranging from contemporary paintings to cutting-edge NFTs is on exhibition from April 28th to May 1st at POP-UP at Französische Strasse 48.

When the whole city of Berlin turns into an iridescent art space with galleries around town putting their most prestigious artists in the spotlight, is transforming the spatiality at Französische Straße into a pop-up gallery. On exhibition: Established artists such as Christopher Lehmpfuhl, Elvira Bach or Jean-Remy as well as ascending ones like Florine Imo, Lena Valenzuela , André Wendland, Esra Gülmen or Sucuk & Bratwurst. “We are extremely lucky to unite such a variety of artists for the occasion of one of the most important weekends for Berlin’s art scene. With POP-UP we are aiming to push the democratization of the art world even further and offer artists, buyers and art lovers a low entry point to the market”, says Lena Winter, Director of, about the concept behind the POP-UP.

All of the more than 50 shown pieces undermine that mission. The contemporary art front is represented by the likes of Elvira Bach, Jiri Georg Dokoupil or Christopher Lehmpfuhl, complemented by ultra-contemporary artists Matthew Stone, Arjen, Evgen Čopi Gorišek or SEO, and completed by digital artists Sucuk & Bratwurst or Ruohan Wang. The selection of various pieces aims to reach art lovers of all kinds and wants to encourage them to set foot in the market.

Paintings, sculptures, ceramics, spray paints or digital artworks and are on display for admiration and sale all three days long. Live performances and other specials are to be awaited and make the POP-UP one of the highlights of this year’s Gallery Weekend.
