SOULMATE is a 360° portrait of twins. It is part of the video installation SPINNING COMMUNION, which portrays humans as living sculptures. As an art object, each portrait rotates 360° and represents a human interaction in a sculptural aesthetic. SOULMATE illustrates the connection between two souls.
SOULMATE will be on view at Museum Angewandte Kunst in Frankfurt, Germany, in January 2022.
Dajana Krüger, a German-based video artist and photographer, has been honing her technique of 360° spinning, moving imagery. Originally a photographer, Dajana blends her passion for portraying people and the video process, combining an abstract aesthetic with a documentary approach. She creates what she calls "real holograms" of people and objects to find a new virtual language apart from photography to express herself, her people and cultures.
