In their artistic practice, hola i chau maintains focus on amalgamating fragments of the everyday, embracing inconsistencies and visual discordance to celebrate the possibilities latent in the unexpected. Oscillating between the deconstruction and reinterpretation of ordinary phenomena. Theirs is an open field of experimentation, with an interlacing of contradictions, contrasts, decomposition and regeneration that form the core of their conceptual interests.
Artist duo from Chile and Argentina that has been experimenting with the process screen printing for years. They not only work together in a studio but also on each print. With each new layer of print they enter a dialogue. The artists discuss the harmony and effect of each surface. They draw inspiration from all the surfaces and lines of their surroundings. Mostly on the streets of Berlin and sometimes in the countries where they grew up. Each work is made with 4 hands, 2 hearts, 4 eyes and 2 lives.
The work ‘El tiempo se abre’ is an original acrylic on paper monotype individualized by the artists with an intervention with acrylic paint and acrylic marker on fine art print.
