Lara Favaretto’s installations and audios, sculptural and kinetic works balance between failure and aspiration. The Italian artist represents the eventuality of loss through a recuperative memorialization, oftentimes recycling elements from previous installations into new works. Recycling and sustainability play an important role in Favaretto’s work as she reuses discarded industrial materials, which ones oftentimes decompose during the period of their display.
