The sound installation 'Imagine! Being a-Fly-on-the Wall' consists of 4 sound recordings from the toilets of the Centre Pompidou, the Guggenheim Bilbao, the MoMa and the Tate Modern. The work was produced within two and a half years, the recordings are ranging from 05:06:11 to 6:40:02 in length, for the realization Roth worked with a mini dictaphone, which he positioned in the respective museum toilets.

David Roth, born 22 February, 1984, son of two sculptors, was exposed to art at an early age, but decided to pursue fashion first. Together with his friend Carl Jakob Haupt he founded the fashion blog 'Dandy Diary', which was to make history through various actions, including a fashion porn, a streaker at the Dolce & Gabbana Fashion Show and legendary parties at the Berlin Fashion Week. After the era of 'Dandy Diary', Roth moved to the French countryside to concentrate more on art.

Roth prefers to work with serial video formats in which he dances for 100 days, drinks until he falls off five beer crates stacked on top of each other, or sings about all those moments of his everyday life for which the casualness would normally have ensured quick oblivion.
