Chiara Passa (born 1973 in Rome) is a visual artist who has been working in media art since 1997. Her creative study examines virtual space variations utilizing a variety of methodologies, technologies, and gadgets, frequently employing Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality as artistic mediums to investigate architecture as an interface. She uses virtual reality and augmented reality to expand its inherent language and to shake up and question the static notion of architecture by exploring the liminal duality between tangible and virtual space, resulting in an odd oscillation between spaces in art. She creates animations, net-arts, interactive and site-specific video installations, and AR / VR video-sculptures, sometimes made of Carrara marble, ceramic, fresco technique, plexiglass, or 3D printing parts.
