”My work is characterized by the use of language in several of its forms: written, spoken, projected and even sung. In some of my works, the text emerges timidly, merging with the image. We could say that, due to the camouflage strategies that I use and the large size of the sentences, I force the viewer to stop and observe, to decipher the words, which are gradually being discovered within the same image. Topics I investigate are communications between people, the relationship between the natural and the artificial, and the social alterations caused by social networks or the internet. I am interested in the personal and the intimate. Many of my projects have desire as their underlying theme. In them, something impossible is pursued, something utopian, yet something that will not satisfy anyone. Something characteristic of the society and generation to which I belong.” – Bartomeu Sastre
