Yoeli’s porcelain and ceramic works merge decoration, elements of nature and body parts, in what seems to be a faithful homage to traditional miniature porcelain figurines, or decorative elements in a Victorian drawing room or some sacred icons in a church, until something emerges that should not have been there. This is a world of wild porcelain in which delicate craftsmanship eschews its purpose and takes a volcanic turn. As in her previous works, Yoeli creates a pagan conceptual world – a tumultuous and perverted universe cloaked in white.
