John Bock participated at documenta 11 in 2002. With his outdoor artwork "Gribbohm II b" in the Karlsaue in Kassel, Bock created an intentionally participatory moment by inviting visitors to gather under a diagonally constructed wooden box.

This work is one of Bock's objects, that are often part of performances and installations and with which the artist creates absurd narratives. In this work, a wheelbarrow or carry cart is assembled with the help of other everyday objects, such as sponges and a hose, so that the sculpture has an animal-like appearance, reminiscent of an elephant.

The German artist John Bock works with various media and is known for his performances and installations. His work is characterized by the transgression and mixing of different genres. He often combines objects, films and live actions and generates whimsical stories with their help. According to Bock, we live in a "shear, deaf, stupid world." With his art, he wants to show us both the depth and the absurdity of our life experience.

This work is in excellent condition with no discernible condition issues. Detailed condition report available upon request.
