Analivia Cordeiro
0°<——>45° version I
The first version of 0°<——>45° is a historical work in computer-based dance. It is a solo dance performed by Cordeiro where the dancer’s body blends with the stage design while she makes movements following rounded or diagonal lines.
Both the stage setting and the costume design were created with an aesthetic close to concrete art. This work develops a language of dance based on a very contemporary look for that time, which broke away from the then prevailing conventional dance aesthetics that still maintained a clear influence from classical ballet. The body seemed to become a moving sculptural form.
