THE EICHLER SERIES by Kevin and Jennifer McCoy of 3D printed, ceramic sculptures fuse extruded images of Silicon Valley headquarters (Google, Nvidia, Intel) with the architecture of middle class subdivision homes designed by the mid-century architect, Joseph Eichler. These architectural chimeras are three dimensional collages that juxtapose the new world of a software driven culture and economy with the smaller scale version of modernity that it replaced.
The work was created while in residence at the Headlands Center for the Arts after extensive photographic research in Northern California.
