The Eichler Series (Nvidia)

THE EICHLER SERIES by Jennifer and Kevin McCoy of 3D-printed ceramic sculptures fuse extruded images of Silicon Valley headquarters (Google, Nvidia, Intel) with the architecture of middle-class subdivision homes designed by the mid-century architect Joseph Eichler. These architectural chimaeras are three-dimensional collages that juxtapose the new world of a software-driven culture and economy with the smaller-scale version of modernity that it replaced.

The work was created while in residence at the Headlands Center for the Arts after extensive photographic research in Northern California.
