Every second breath we take is generated by the oceans. To honor World Ocean’s Day on June 8th misa.art and Parley for the Oceans have teamed up to release a physical drop by German artist Tim Berresheim to support the environmental organization with all the funds raised. With the vision in mind, that creatives have the power to mold the reality we live in and have an impact on society’s way of thinking, misa.art and Parley are collaborating for this special drop.
While Parley for the Oceans addresses major threats towards our oceans, misa.art democratizes the art market. With accumulated powers and the desire to change, the cooperation has found the ideal artist to work with for the occasion of World Ocean Day: Tim Berresheim. The German artist is at the forefront of computer-generated art, producing artworks made with CGI and DGI that are realized in form of sculptures, 3D-, silk screen- and c-prints.
For the artwork “Parabola Una”, Tim Berresheim uses his signature style of computer-generated imagery. The work depicts a rippling surface based on algorithms of oceanic wave formations taken from research data published by the California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology. While Berresheim's compositions are the product of precise three-dimensional digital renderings, his abstracted linework and tangled compositions evoke the gestures of a swift hand. Through an Augmented Reality feature (iOS only), included in the artwork, the digital origin of the print edition’s motif can be experienced as a digital sculpture in space.
Honoring World Ocean’s Day on June 8th the 24-Hour Physical Drop by German artist Tim Berresheim will support the environmental organization Parley for the Oceans and is exclusively available on misa.art.
