In collaboration with United for Ukraine multidisciplinary artist Masha Reva releases the limited NFT drop "Laying Woman” exclusively on misa.art. As part of the initiative #ArtistsForUkraine the drop is the newest sequel to the aid project with artists campaigning for an end to the war and calling for humanitarian support. All the proceeds from the limited digital art drop combined with limited prints will go to filming and postproduction of the documentary “Women. War. Power.”
Masha Reva’s work “Laying woman” reflects on the artist’s experience of having to flee her hometown Kyiv and having to stay in Uzhgorod in a temporary shelter-studio collectively arranged by artists and architects and has been part of the exhibition “Under the sky”. “Laying woman” is part of an image diary that highlights the presence of genocide and pain brought by Russian invasion in Ukraine but also lays eyes on the invincible mystical power of the country and people of Ukraine.
For the documentary "Women. War. Power." five nobel prize winning women will visit Eastern Europe to support Ukrainian activists in their fight for peace, human rights, independence and prosperity of Ukraine. The initiative aims to amplify the voice of their Ukrainian colleagues, show solidarity and bring support during war time. The documentary film is planned to premiere at the United Nations General Assembly in September 2022 and travel around the world showcasing the power and spirit of Ukrainian women.
